Recognizing Getting Hung Up On: Romantic ImproVerse Haiku

I’ve been hung up on/
before. Sometimes it’s deserved./
I know the diff’rence.

These And Those Deep Chats: Romantic ImproVerse Rhyming Haiku Lament

It’s mornings like these,/
and afternoons like that, when/
I miss our deep chats.

I do this, and I/
do that, just like her former/
guy. Sigh. Say goodbye.

What should a man do/
when he knows she’s another’s,/
but he can’t leave her?

At the appointed hour,
I waited,
as she had requested,
at her doorstep.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.

I’m just glad
I left
before he brought
her back home
and she
invited him
in.

The invitation /
was there but she did not care/
to open it up.

Will she want to play?/
Or will she simply want to/
say: “Nice knowing you!” ?

Men know they are too/
intense when they write poetry/
and there’s no response.

She couldn’t fathom/
the butterfly’s dance across/
the sunflower’s face.

I’m wondering if/
someone wants to help me fill/
out my family tree.
