He, the broke walrus,/
dreams of luring the nymph. [LAUGH!] /
Yet I played that game.

Bad Memory Updated: Haiku

I spent years like this:/

Edge of bed. Curled up. But not/

with her. This hurts worse.

Before, I had angst/
to reach out my hand. Now, I/
fear op’ning my mouth.

It’s tough learning your/
Immaturity caused your
prior marriage issues.

I’m shamed learning my/
selfishness was the cause of/
most marriage issues.

It is great learning/
that love can be affirming,/
grounding and big fun.

She’s so deep in her/
Nirvana I hate to wake /
her. I must get up.

Its true: I don’t write/
my deep feelings for her. They’re/
too mushy and sweet.

When you doubt yourself,/
you think you’re not loveable./
What if she doesn’t?

After her tale, it/
was tempting to chant loud and/
long, but we didn’t.

Although I didn’t /
see it, feel it or get it,
I’m glad she found joy.
