Worldly fashion etiquette says to wait:
Wear white shoes post Memorial Day’s date.
But here in remote Utah
they’ll exclaim “Fashion? Pashaw!”
And think spring ivory loafers first rate!

Opening Your Heart’s Memories: Romantic IMprov Poetry
Thanks for being/
my Muse this evening! /
I’d like to spend time, you and me,/
creating and exploring our mutual poetry!
——-
So now stand/
with open heart/
and open hands/
and desire to start/
all over again./
For the dream/
which lived long ago/
could again be seen/
if passion’s taken slow/
and gently./
Emotions which we /
deep within us carry,/
can be released./
If our passions tarry;/
they’ll often increase!/
Thus, that which was ours before/
will sprout, grow and blossom once more!

Caring: Romantic Email Poetic Lament
She claimed she cared for me
but what did she ever see
of my kids’ agony?
My lack of destiny?
My parents elderly?
Courtroom travesty?
Lack of money?
My self-destructive propensity?
She only cared
that for her I was there
when she was needy.
Green Lit Frightening Silence: Romantic IMprov Rhyming Haiku
It can frighten me/
to see you green lit and yet/
completely silent.
Cleaning Out Junk: Revolutionary IMprov Haiku
The space vacated/
when I clean my life of junk/
leaves room for wonder.
