Recalling Two Moments At Her Birthday Dance: Romantic IMprov Iambic Poem

When I gazed into her eyes/
I sighed,/
and was bereft/
and denied/
the chance/
to further dance/
and twirl/
and give the birthday girl/
her daughter’s window scraper.
