When you must prove all/
you say, you begin to doubt/
everything you’ve heard.

I’m Responsible NOW: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

“I’m responsible!” /
was sung in a play when young,/
but now it’s real life.

I’m not ready for/
how hard things are, so must fight/
negativity.

Sad when you learn your/
daughter writes as well as you,/
sans hope’s perspective.

You can choose sports or/
love, but if you choose love you/
always choose rightly.

I was her Big Hunk./
Now I’m another’s, so I’ll /
eat and forget it.

There are truths which need/
to be said, for your sake, but/
kept private for hers.

She’s deep in her phone/
at sunset. Pink Floyd plays: “How/
I wish you were here.”

When I’m trying to/
blog, she becomes all business./
I must learn to cope.

Some say my life was/
confusion. They never saw/
me dream, walking here.
