I try so hard to/
do what’s right. I am sorry/
and sad when I fail.

Do dads ever get/
to be sad and to mourn their/
children and themselves.

He’s sad he can’t sneak/
down the long corridor and/
hug* her this early.

I wear purple for/
my girl and every other/
daughter I see sad.

When she said goodbye,/
she said: “That was easy.” I’m/
sad it was for her.

The saddest I will/
ever be is to know how/
I failed my children.

Am I the only/
man who drowns his sorrows in/
root beer and cheddar?

I’m sad I cant seem /
to say anything that won’t/
prompt a guilt response.

It’s sad when you know/

talks with some new guy.
