I’ve been hung up on/
before. Sometimes it’s deserved./
I know the diff’rence.

He’d seen it often./
She, interested, bantered./
He fell overboard.

Does beauty get sick?/
And is it physical thus/
to be? I knew not.

Executive jets
To desert
desserts
mean nichts to her.

Instead,
gazebo waltzes
and
rolling down hills
feed her soul
and
let her fantasies
take flight.

I tend to stay far /
away from girls who say they/
need kissing practice.

It’s mornings like these,/
and afternoons like that, when/
I miss our deep chats.

You write a woman/
a sonnet, with all your thoughts/
upon it, and “poof”.

We could throw rocks in the lake,/
or watch brats bake/
on the fire/
as our desire/
climbs, like the flames, ever higher.

What would it take to/
be the man with her weekends/
and for forever?

While waiting for her /
to maybe call,/
I hope she’s as pure/
as those who have no gall.

She’s playing with me,/
but I don’t mind./
For a good woman like rubies/
is usually hard to find.

Of course her name/
could belie her personality./
Maybe it’s just a game./
Maybe she’s just BSing me.

Only by waiting her out will I ever discover/
beyond any doubt if she’d be a purifying lover.
