out tonight. If you’d let me,/

Thinking she’d return
for cobbler, I froze peaches/
last year. She didn’t.

the shower coursing down your/
body are my hands.

If I looked like an/
Adonis, would that make you/
be much less cautious?

Diamonds in the stream/
are easy to miss. One must/
know what to look for.

His fantasy, at/
first, was just to meet her. Now/
he wants to see stars.

She could see the first /
glimmer of hope shine, but she/
was afraid to look.

Yes! It was YOU I/
bought the cheese for! And now you/
won’t even see me!

Maybe, he thought, there’s/
a way to woo her so she’ll/
learn to trust again.

If you’re cautious with/
fire you can bank it ’til heat’s/
more useful later.
