Acting Weird: Revolutionary Poetry
You’ve not see me:
Ill.
In pain.
Exhausted.
Weak.
Freezing.
Nervous.
Sleep deprived.
Delirious.
Confused.
Lonely.
Afraid.
Alone.
Scared.
For you I’ve always been:
Happy.
Healthy.
Energetic.
Strong.
Comfortable.
In control.
Confident.
Lucid.
Of course I’m acting weird.
I’m standing here
On an unknown stage,
Reading unfamiliar lines,
With no props,
And with emptiness
All around,
In a solo show.
You can get a refund
On your ticket,
And they can bring
The curtain down.
