I grab her now like
she once grabbed me. There is no
result I can see.

She’s Learning, I’m Lonely: Haiku Lament

She’s learning. That’s good
for her. I’m left out and so
lonely. Bad for us.

There are thousands of/
books and podcasts to hear, but/
that’s not why I’M here.

The greening of old/
oak trees is a sign not just/
of Spring, but of hope.

Don’t invite me, and
don’t wait for me, chances are
we’ll both be alone.

we’ll end up alone.

When you start to get /

second guessed about all you/

do, you stop doing.

She begs: “Take me to
It’ly!” I do. She then sits,
alone, with her phone.

She is a very/
energized woman. When floods/
come, I fear drowning.

She first said: “Yes!” and/
then she yelled: “HELL YES!!!” She is/
such a Southern girl!

When your heart’s breaking,/
catch the pieces and hold them./
They’ll beat together.
