So many of you /
help me do what I now do./
May I say “Thank You!”?

On Being “Woke” – ImproVerse Political Rhyming Haiku

If you have to say,/
In a self-right way, you’re “woke”,/
Then you’re still dreaming.

The music which flows/
from her soul knows* what her mind/
can’t articulate.

Wenn ihre Kinder/
nach Hause kommen, ist es/
wieder unbekannt.

How many mistakes/
must I make? How much must I/
wait? Or should I go?

Head into the field/
after summer rain. Reap sweet/
rewards for your pain.

She heaved a deep sigh/
and said her guy liked that “stuff”./
He’s sad ‘midst treasures.

You can’t expect me/
to live creatively if/
I must do fact checks.

they grow? Wait and see. It’s a/
good allegory.

Men stand, beer in hand,/
looking, bored, stage-ward, while their/
women dance hot. Why?
