We should learn that “Faith
in Every Footstep” doesn’t
just mean Pioneers.
OR
Children teach us: “Faith/
in Every Footstep” doesn’t/
just mean Pioneers.
We write and photo/
us because who knows our souls/
better than ourselves?
When, as children, do/
we fin’lly made the choice to/
stop our joyful dance?
Thinking of my girl/
singing “Since the day I left/
Milwaukee” brings tears.
In Pioneer Park,/
an old man plays pioneer/
music: Led Zeppelin.
Some day when I’m old/
and gray, I hope my kids will/
treat me that same way.
It was my parents’/
job to tell me *to change shirts,/
not some teenage girl’s.
Or
not one of my friend’s.
Or
*my shirts stunk.
Utah’s obsessed with/
zombies. Is it because of/
the Resurrection?
