Away The Scarlet A: Revolutionary Blogging Iambic Poem

It seems you cannot wash away
false tales of the Scarlet A.
No matter how untrue,
those rumors will follow you.

You can be washed pure and clean,
and know in your heart what repentance means,
as you are forgiven and changed with His love,
and readied for His courts above.

Yet others (who may be meaning well,)
will false tales and gossip tell.
And you may never have the chance
to clear your name or learn the circumstance.

So stand strong, even in pain. Sometimes all you can do
is remember again how He’s forgiven you.

I Love To See The Temple (Redo, Conclusion) – Revolutionary ImproVerse Song Poem

This is the final (I hope) version of “I love to see the Temple” redo that I wrote June 19th, and sang in the parking lot of the Payson, Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The video is on youtube HERE: I Love to see the Temple (Conclusion) video.

DK Temple Return, Payson Utah LDS TempleI love to see the Temple.
I’m going back today.
I used to love to serve there,
but then I lost my way.

For the Temple is a holy place
which I will not defile.
I’m going back now I am clean.
It’s taken me awhile.

She Can Sit With Me: Revolutionary ConTEXTing Haiku

Several years ago, several women I was interested in dating told me they wouldn’t date me until I returned to the LDS Church (which I knew was true) and got my Temple Recommend. At the time, I was hurt, and wrote this poem: http://cyranowriter.wordpress.com/2012/10/09/getting-to-the-mountaintop-together-revolutionary-contexting-limerick/
The other day, in church, one of these women was sitting next to me, (as my friend), and I realized something:

She now sits with me/
on the mountain top, not through/
my path, but her own.
