It’s the simple things/
in life which bring joy, like the/
rhubarb hat fan club.

Now What? Romantic ImproVerse Haiku

She sat on the couch/
with me, smiled, and said: “Maybe!”/
Do I wait? Or ask?

When you’re on Facebook,/
you can get compliments from/
beauties you don’t know.

I should probably/
say something on beauty, but/
that’s superfluous.

I stand, trying to/
give up my sin, alone. I/
should give it to Him.

Service calls to us/
in different types and times./
We must be ready.

If we complain of/
no reverence in church, are we/
not also guilty?
Or
not guilty of noise?

He’s not wearing church/
shoes, but he’s still in church, so/
who is complaining?

There are no books which/
are spiritual. We must/
ponder, apply, do.

“It is finished!” was/
not a sad quitter’s cry, but/
a shout of triumph.
