was shallow and self-centered?/
Y’d both go silent?

You’re never lonely/
once you, like a river’s true/
path, find someone else./

Regardless of source,/
Truth is absolute. You don’t/
require a vision.

Is it arrogance/
to think that getting to know /
me sets the bar high?

When we know the pain/
we cause, why are we silent? /
Don’t we understand?

The knots in my gut/
from waiting and storytales/
are not butterflies.

Life IS about me./
I tried to make it about/
her. She won’t let me.

Photos of flowers./
I’d send them to her. But she’d/
think they’re for others.

I’m intense, but get/
less so. She’s shy, but blooming./
Will we middle meet?

Like the True Ring, she/
calls to my soul, even when/
she doesn’t call me.
