by dawn’s bright light/
to have illuminated/
what I wrote last night.

Her slow response time/
made him wonder: Continue?/
Or let her slumber?

Too late he learned she/
meant it when she said sometimes/
too late is too late.

He leaned
and, listening, dreamed
thots of her,
voice near,
in near slumber.

What mite
it b like
2 hear her voice,
close?

2 feel her form,
warm,
at times b4 felt,
that made him melt?

Would she be prepared/
or unaware of what late/
night missive he’d give?

I’m Generator/
of what I am, what I do,/
who I am, and why.

I have long said: “Just/
a few minutes!” and not come/
back. Now I get it.
