This morning I thanked some/
firemen because I’m grateful/
every day for them.
OR
… firemen cuz I’m grateful each
day for what they do.
After weeks of heat/
and dry, I don’t mind feeling/
cool rain on my face.
Don’t berate yourself/
for chances missed. Promise to/
do better next time.
I always forget/
the fallout from Mexican/
food ’til next morning.
I wanted to post/
poems with my video but/
nothing’s good enough.
How strange to glance
at my kitchen window
and see
a reflection formed by tree branch,
clouds, sky and leaves;
a smiling Marilyn Monroe
gazing whimsically
down at me.
Why do I try to/
buy more land when I haven’t/
learned of all that’s mine?
Birds warble as the/
sun’s beams lick tops of tall trees./
I cool into dawn.
When you learn that you’re/
a heroic success it/
changes your life’s view.
