can just pass me by?

hint. It’s not even nice. It’s/
just something hurtful.
Or
… it’s/
a hurtful nothing.

It’s great looking in/
your car’s trunk and finding an/
Elvis umbrella.

It doesn’t matter/
how good your equipment is/
if you keep it stored.

I want to be inspired./
Alas! I feel too tired./
This work’s sapped my wit./
I should be done with it! /
My creativity has expired.

Is my poem written/
for you? Yes! Just like Blake wrote/
for me. Paul did, too.

How far can I go?/
How much can I give? Does it/
matter if there’s love?

In church, I’ll turn off/
my cell phone if you remove/
your crying* children.
