My hospital room’s/
next to the nurs’ry. It’s not/
fair. Can I hold them?
She flees from the light./
She hates it when it is too bright/
So how can she see?
She said she’d get back/
to me the next day. It’s been/
a week. Lesson learned.
Life IS sometimes tough./
But nuke your escape plan and/
make one to live by.
My motor blew up./
I’m upset. Then I recall:/
She lost her husband.
In my life it is/
Always better to be kind/
Than to be clever.
If folks don’t want to/
see me they won’t try to see/
me, so why should I?
As I think of the/
Widow’s pain, I learn all ache,/
And vow to give none.
