On the first full moon/

night since the end, clouds covered/

the sky. He was glad.

Moments of awe: Suns /

set. Moons rise. You touch me. Oft,/

I can find no words.

Moonlite slatted through/

blinded windows and barren /

trees makes me lonely.

I look at the moon,/
half shadowed and half revealed./
Now, it means nothing.

Silk lake reflects me./
Full moon peaks through gauzed cloud wisps./
We both gaze alone.

I’ll wait to wake you./
The moon’s setting in the West./
I wish you were, too.

The thumbnail moon hangs/
midst the mack’rel cloud sky, where/
you and I both see.

There was no full moon/
to distract her this evening./
She went with the night.
