Everyone tells me:/
“You’re so stable” as I am/
wearing my Cheesehead.
OR
Everyone tells me:/
“You’re so level-headed” as/
I wear my Cheesehead.
You’re obsessed over/
folks you can do nothing for./
Take care of yourself.
She flees from the light./
She hates it when it is too bright/
So how can she see?
I laughed that the prince/
sang to a glass slipper, but/
I totally would.
Tracks in the new snow/
make me think of school yard fun/
I had long ago.
I want to write more/
poems but she’s late again and/
I’m cold and ticked off.
She said she’d get back/
to me the next day. It’s been/
a week. Lesson learned.
