Late Night Rockin’ Round And Round A Round-About: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

Driving home late night,/
I zoom ’round a round-about/
twice, fast, rockin’ “YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!”

When I get stood up/
on a date, I can always/
do open mic poems.

Saint Francis hoodie,/
backwards collar and a true/
Buddha belly. Pray.

I can sit/
in the Walmart/
parking lot,
top down rockin’,/
and make people happy.

Slow freeway traffic/
in my ragtop means I can/
watch sun- and moon-set.

Some might see, smiling,/
a thumbnail moon, but I see/
a black empty hole.

It’s fine that you don’t/
trust me any more. I don’t/
trust me much, either.

She promised me a/
response, but “No!” is not what/
I was looking for.

Please don’t judge me for/
wearing my Cheesehead hat. I/
went to church early.
