Signs Of Hope Spring: Haiku

The greening of old/
oak trees is a sign not just/
of Spring, but of hope.

When we fear bad that/

could be, we miss out on the/

amazing that is.

When I hear her ask
“You play me?”, I know I’m a
Granpawpaw success!

My observing has
small purpose unless learned from
and shared with others.

you might ask: “Where’s Donovan’s/

On a lonely field,

my neighbor’s light reminds me
of peace and the why.

One single candle /
can wipe out darkness. Lifting/
His standard gives hope.
