Imagination/
Runs so strong in both of us,/
Neither knows what’s real.

Being With You Gift: Romantic IMprov Haiku

Being with you is/
not a gift taken from you, /
but a gift I give.

Some pain can happen./
But the risks we take by not/
playing are much worse.

Could she,
with walls built high
and deep
open a small door
to her keep
and let me
in?

What does she fear?
What holds her back?
That I’ll get too near?
Place her heart under attack?

Perhaps, but she should know this:
All pain
is worth that gain.
and that risk.

She sometimes feels
I exist to romance her.
But what if I’m what’s real,
and simply God’s answer?

The world’s most tasty/
treats are best relished when your/
eyes are fully closed.”

Sometimes leaning on/
the fence is okay. Sometimes,/
stand across the field.

Boundaries being/
respected may give results/
never intended.

Sometimes the doldrums/
of the everyday leave you/
with nothing to say.

There is a woman/
I’m crazy about. She does/
NOT like third person.

She does/
NOT like royal she.

I never wish to/
stop swaying. It reminds me/
of our slow rhythms.
