How She Could Propose: Romantic IMprov Rhyming Haiku

Were she to propose/
to me with verses tawdry,/
I’d accept quickly.

She said I’d reject/
text proposals, but what’s more/
romantic than words?

I hoisted a glass/
of frothy red juice toward/
the West, her saucy.
OR
I hoisted a glass/
of frothy red juice westward,/
t’ward her fieriness.

How awesome to know/
that, in some way, we are all/
broken, but He heals.

He wondered where she’d/
go for fresh lime gelato/
and baked pizza dough?

At what point does his/
flattering persistence turn/
to obnoxiousness?

“What will you do on /
this snow day?” “Stay in, listen/
to a Prophet’s voice.”

Die tiefe Frage/
ist, ob man wirklich auf Deutsch/
Romantisch sein kann.

I think some women/
take selfies to remind men/
what beauty looks like.
