before I’ll believe?

“Good morning, keeper!”/
was all the message I hear./
I burst into tears.

I don’t need to get
my own way. I want to be
heard and understood.

I’ve heard the word “No”/
for so long, it’s now hard to/
hear anything else.

With all the voices /
in your head, make sure you can,/
at last, still hear Him.

She hears that I am/
disappointed. I only/
thirst for nourishment.
