Somebody to Love

First Time Meeting Exhaustion: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

At their first meeting/
he was so exhausted that/
he was boring him.

She’s distracted* by
art abstracted. I wonder:
What’s under her curls?
OR
*She’s impacted by

I said she should take/
off her sandals to connect/
with Earth. I didn’t.

My feet may not be
the most beautiful, but they
show that I work hard.

When reality/
TV turned more important/
than me, I turned off.

When Swiss cheese melts in/
your black interior car,/
you lose all the holes.

I stand alone midst
roses. This balcony calls
for a Juliet.
OR

He, alone, smells the
roses. Yon balcony begs
for his Juliet.

“All Creatures of Our/
God and King”, heard in the art/
garden, lifts my hands.

Listening in this
setting to “Kiss From A Rose”
moves me to glad tears.
