Garden Pizza Satisfaction: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

My satisfaction/
grows with each pizza topping/
fresh from my garden.

Head into the field/
after summer rain. Reap sweet/
rewards for your pain.

I’m done. I’ve finished./
Words bled out on pages and/
exposed all of me.

not sure what to say.

I pray and ask God/
“What should I do?” The answer/

Torn tendons. Torqued back./
Bruised wrist. Blisters. Bad eyes. Scouts,/
yard work, or marriage?

I confuse myself./
It’s a warm, pleasant day, yet/
I’ve stayed inside. Why?

Jes cuz I warn’t born/
down South in Dixie, don’t mean/
I can’t still love her.
