When the happy guy/
gets sick, he discovers that/
the world keeps spinning.

Or
the world keeps turning.

What Makes Me Leave: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

The more folks tell me/
I shouldn’t be some way, the/
more I want to leave.

It’s strange how a war’s/
hist’ry can change when your kin/
were a part of it
Or

It’s strange how hist’ry/
can change when your ancestors/
volunteered for it.

If you missed going/
but then go more than planned, does/
that make up for it?

There are times when God’s/
world is so wonderful that /
you* can say nothing.

OR
*I can say nothing.

Should I tell folks how/
to be better? Much better/
is if I go do.

It’s not always fun, /
But it’s always rewarding./
That’s why it’s called “work”.
OR
That’s why it’s “service”.

Being who you are/
lets other like-minded folk/
find you easier.

Understanding who/
you are means accepting and/
embracing your roots.
