I’m co-dependent./
My mirror’d face asks others/
for affirmation.

Sometimes I awake,
Early morning,
In a half-dream state,
And my mind starts roaming.

I imagine my hands:
they begin to trace
skin, trembling, grand;
Up from your feet;
Down from your face.

I wonder how 2
Put hands in passion’s fire;
run fingers thru a valley of longing,
And caress mountains of desire.

I’ve learned that when you /
once had a crush, later you/
don’t like their face much.

I face
and embrace
my fear.

It’s being a motivator,
not a regulator
nor intimidator.

For in staring fear down
I find
I don’t drown.
I open my mind.
