Waiting In Vain: Romantic Free Verse ImproVerse Lament

At the appointed hour,
I waited,
as she had requested,
at her doorstep.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.

I’m just glad
I left
before he brought
her back home
and she
invited him
in.

Unopened Invitation: Romantic ImproVerse Rhyming Haiku Lament

The invitation /
was there but she did not care/
to open it up.

Apologizing,/
she asked for complaints, so I/
quickly raised my hand.

It is always a/
huge thrill when she views me, and,/
then, such a let down.

Her butter burger
with cheddar
better
be mo’ betta
than the fajita
that I’ll eat-a.

It’s sad my daughter’s/
validation must come from/
others, not the One.

These 2 poems were as the result of this view at about 7:20 a.m.

7:23 a.m.
Even foggy and/
frosty mornings have Beauty/
if you accept it.

10:08 a.m.
No matter how grey/
and foggy our path may be,/
the Son will shine through.

Let me know when
you think
the thought
you think
you’re going to think.

How long
do you think
it will take
to think
the think
you have to make?

Will she want to play?/
Or will she simply want to/
say: “Nice knowing you!” ?

You’re never too old/
to rock and roll, but it seems/
you can be too young.
