Her long departure/
caused him to wonder where she’d/
gone and to do what.

He imagines hugs/
of him, spiritual giant,/
safely holding her.

He wondered why a/
joyful, deep confirmation/
would be a bad thing.

He didn’t know her/
soul, but had the deep desire/
to discover more.

He wondered how it/
would feel to be acknowledged/
as the too-short friend.
OR

He wondered how it/
would feel to be acknowledged/
as the overlooked love.

She claimed that she would/
rather embrace me, but then/
made a quick exit.

She claimed she was shy,/
but her witty repartee’/
blew up that theory.

If you’re in deep fog,/
spread your limbs wide and embrace/
new, deep sensations.

talents begged questions.
