She layed,
Languidly,
Lingering in his arms.

He, taut,
Held tightly,
Timidly thinking of speaking.

Silence drove their uncertainty.
Yet both were so sure.

back weeds doesn’t help if you /
don’t plant anything.

mind’s thinking about.

Why do I let old/
insecurity tapes make/
others walk on eggs?

Our calls end quickly./
That’s because I don’t want to/
extend sad goodbyes.

By exposing me,/
so I see myself, she’s my/
behavioral muse.

If I stand
And demand
Certain acts,
Then take others to task,

How am I
The sort of guy
Who is in any way kind?
I am out of my mind.

I often can’t read
What others might need,
But when they misread me,
I pout, and spout anarchy.

It’s not fair nor right
To put others though this plight.

I ask for a script./
Everyone walks on eggshells./
No one likes this play.
