aware you’re selfish that you/
wonder what to do.

Sometimes leaning on/
the fence is okay. Sometimes,/
stand across the field.

Boundaries being/
respected may give results/
never intended.

My walls now go up/
quickly. I’ve learned how to build /
them from a master.

She’s not ready. I /
thought she’d be. Maybe she’s just/
not ready for me.

A space invader/
forces alien concepts /
into someone’s space.

Rhubarb. Strawberries./
Pinch of sugar. Small pot. Heat./
Summer’s ending treat.

After I flipped the spoon out of the pot onto my hand…
Summer’s final burn.

If you don’t expect/
anything, does that mean you/
are never dreaming?

You … simplify … me.
