to listen, I can still pray/
And hear as I go.

God knows what we need./
We pray so we understand,/
deep, what’s best for us.

TURN OFF YOUR DUMB PHONES!/
I’m trying to learn to be/
a better Christian!

I wasn’t going./
Then I recalled her kind smile/
and how she wears hats.

Bone of my bone,/
conceived of/
our joyful response/
and laughter/
over an indie film/
proves we’re not the title.

Hell hath no fury/
Like a woman scorned,/
And life knows no pain/
Like a poet ignored.

Violets are blue,/
roses are red./
I’ll get to know you/
And what’s in your head.

Thou who hast stomped and/
crushed my heart, when hold we our/
next business meeting?

She yearns to feel new/
message excitement. Do mine/
stir anticipa . . . ?

The last spires went on/
the burned church, lifted my heart/
and filled me with joy*.
