It’s hard to see well. We should/
turn on defoggers.

I wait for her to
Wake, to reach out, to want me
More than I need her.

Anxious to connect?
Or needing alone time space?
It’s hard reading you.

Early morning staring./
Blank phone screen. Black smooth water./
Looking for answers.

Or
Waiting for answers

Rembrandt’s evening light,/
Rainier’s shadow and wildflowers’/
blooms combine. I weep.

They rushed down the trails,/
got to their cars, drove fast and/
missed spectacular.

OR
They rushed down mountains,/
reached their cars, drove away fast,/
missed spectacular.

Amidst splendor /
caused by sunset light and wild blooms,/
i remove my hat.

While you worked, I was/
screaming, separating a/
rock crab from my thumb.

“He fits much better.”/
She called and said. Why’s she/
surprised I’m happy?
