Fights started once more,/
like they had decades before./
This time they worked out.

I try to avoid
giving out guilt. I have so/
much I’m good at it.

I just saw a tough /
cowboy in sparkly skinny/
jeans. That seems so wrong.

The emptiness that/
fills my ears is only matched /
by my heart’s black hole.

The zucchini was/
not so teeny, but she used/
it up anyway

Only a parent/
can know the hurt of failing/
when trying to help.

Only parents get/
the pain of failing when they/
try to help their kids.

Moonlight memories/
multiply many times for/
me when fully seen.

There was a smelly/
dead mouse in the house. I said:/
“I’m brave!” Then I puked.

Why do I expect/
others to help? She is my/
girl. I can take charge.
