How far can I go?/
How much can I give? Does it/
matter if there’s love?

Distractions In Church: Revolutionary ConTEXTing Haiku

In church, I’ll turn off/
my cell phone if you remove/
your crying* children.

OR
*noisy

There’s a near full moon/
out tonight. If you’d let me,/
I’d call and recite. 🙂

Like rivulets from/
the shower coursing down your/
body are my hands.
OR
Like rivulets from/
the shower coursing down her/
body are his hands.

Without my canvas,/
my river* of inspired/
words simply dried up.

Remove my canvas./
My torrent* of inspired/
words simply dries up.

His fantasy, at/
first, was just to meet her. Now/
he wants to see stars.

She could see the first /
glimmer of hope shine, but she/
was afraid to look.

Maybe, he thought, there’s/
a way to woo her so she’ll/
learn to trust again.

If you’re cautious with/
fire you can bank it ’til heat’s/
more useful later.

If I say nothing/
against what is wrong, then I’ve/
spoken against right.
Or
denied righteousness.
