It’s easy to squash/
men’s enamoredization./
Just criticize them.

To Be. To Try. To Fail. — Romantic ConTEXTing Haiku

To be a poet!/
To try so hard with phrases/
and words. To then fail.

When a woman’s eyes/
shine like two supernovas,/
don’t Photoshop them.

When the woman you/
came to dance with doesn’t show,/
help in the kitchen.

Who would guess that we/
disciples would meet at His/
feet on Yom Kippur?

“Wait upon the Lord”/
may sometimes mean we have to/
wait for His answers.

She broke up with me/
over the phone. Now I feel/
broken, scared, alone.
OR
She broke up with me/
over the phone. I feel scared,/
broken and alone.

I feel loss and lost/
‘cuz I don’t know how to be/
or go without her.
OR
I feel loss and lost,/
not knowing how to be or/
go on without her.

The feelings are there./
You don’t have to create them./
Just don’t impede them.

Temples will be more/
places of refuge and peace/
than ever before.
