We are all cheating./
We cheat ourselves when we set /
standards we don’t live.

With battery dying/
I thought it’d be worth trying/
to say good morning!

It’s no use sending/
photos. No matter how in /
focus, they’re not clear.

True friends ask nonsense/
questions, because depressed fear/
often makes no sense.

As I head down toward/
200 pounds, I’m just glad /
I can see the scales.

Unreasonable/
breakthroughs are unexpected, /
yet they’re so needed.

My inner struggles/
are manifest outwardly /
so others can see.

Or
Should my struggles be /
thus manifest outwardly/
so others can see?

She knew his stories./
They’d soar and rip up his mind./
She, still, did nothing.

There was no full moon/
to distract her this evening./
She went with the night.

or
She went into dark.

He can’t help hurting./
He’s like windows left open/
to both breeze and storm.
