A noisy church ward/
is much more fun when it is/
ethnically diverse.

What I Do: Romantic ConTEXTing Haiku

If I really cared/
about her, I wouldn’t do/
half the things I do.
OR

If I cared about/
her, I wouldn’t do half the /
things I do to her.

Some churches have loud/
kids. Some have whisp’ring grown-ups./
Both can be controlled.

They’re precious to me,/
so I use words sparingly/
or creatively.

He wondered how she/
felt, deep, about being both/
muse and oracle.

I stand, trying to/
give up my sin, alone. I/
should give it to Him.

Service calls to us/
in different types and times./
We must be ready.

If we complain of/
no reverence in church, are we/
not also guilty?
Or
not guilty of noise?

He’s not wearing church/
shoes, but he’s still in church, so/
who is complaining?

There are no books which/
are spiritual. We must/
ponder, apply, do.
