Life is like dancing./
Sometimes we need a partner/
to help keep the beat.

The art in that church/
wasn’t made with brush strokes, but/
with smiling faces.

I’ve learned that my heart/
is never heavy unless/
I’ve caused someone pain.

My mom spoke in church./
“Listen to more* music!” So/
we’re Bach to basics.
OR
“Listen to more good music”./

If I can bring a/
small measure of peace into/
pained lives, I’m happy.

I thought perhaps my/
words could enfold and comfort/
her in her pained grief.

She may think that I/
am “enough,” but what if I/
don’t think I am yet?

I can stand and look/
at the old photos and be/
sports history, too.
Or
I’ll look at the old/
photos and be part of their/
sports history, too.

If I knew her, I/
would give her a hug. I don’t,/
so I’ll pray for her.

It seems my life is/
filled with finding weird things*. Street/
vendor dinner? Si!!!
OR
… finding the unexpected,/
like midnight vendors.
