sometimes happen at bus stops/
hearing buses stop.

If you are worried
about Mom’s health, hold her hand./
She’ll crush your fingers.

In church today I /
learned about coveting my/
neighbor’s belongings.

I didn’t know that
personal righteousness was
a goodness contest.

“Dress better.” “Calm down.”/
“Be good.” “Act professional.”/
I thought I’d changed more.

Can someone who/
did not struggle with you/
to gain the mountaintop even understand
the triumph so grand?

I try to avoid
