Over in the West,/
t’wards Minnesota, came sad/
sounds of purple rain.

Crack Pine Nuts With Mom: Revolutionary ImproVerse Haiku

I’m cracking pine nuts/
with my mom. She complains of /
old age. I don’t mind.

Living on the lake, /
there’s lots I could do, but just/
one thing I should do.

Go to the dock, take/
a panorama and see /
50 shades of grey.

Four toothbrushes. One,/
blue, mine. Three, red, dad’s. Why did/
he grab the blue one?

The question isn’t/
if writing’s good or bad, but/
if it feeds your soul.

There was a canoe,/
empty, at sunset, waiting/
for you two, and beer.

high-waters, it’s good to have/
Albert Einstein socks.

You may teach a man/
to fish, but if he won’t go/
where they swim, he’ll starve.

What would it take to/
be the man with her weekends/
and for forever?
