Why do we often/
fear anticipation of/
potential brilliance?

They spoke how they were:/
Finishing their rituals./
Should one stop good ways?

I will have to be/
amazing to attract your /
own amazingness.

Not that they even/
care, but there are people in/
my prayers constantly.

The thumbnail moon hangs/
midst the mack’rel cloud sky, where/
you and I both see.
