I sat on the edge/
of light and darkness, not just/
metaphorically.

Only a parent/
could read their child’s Facebook post/
and burst into tears.

Muir found himself in/
Yosemite. I need to/
find me up Mud Creek.

It is not just life./
It is his life, their life, ours./
Goal seen. Goal obtained.

There’ll always be folks/
who’ll tell you that you can’t do./
Love says: “Yes, you CAN!”

No matter how good/
rag tops are, left cracked open/
will still get you wet.

Today, after years/
of prison, I flat-lined my/
credit cards. Freedom!

I tend to stay far /
away from girls who say they/
need kissing practice.

The house was up for/
one minute when they moved in./
