I see couples in/
Church tenderly touching. I /
wonder: Where is she*?
OR
*mine?

In our lives, we all/
need cheerleaders. But *how oft/
do we cheer others?
OR
… need cheerleaders.*How often/

There’s thousands of folks/
from dozens of countries. Why/
look for things to do?

I went to my folk’s/
home. My mom said “Go jump in/
the lake”. So I did.

I left a message or two
For you.
Was there a response?
N0! Not once.
Now what should I do?

You never think that/
it will matter until you/
face it and it does.

Somewhere deep within/
the Dairy State, fresh brick* cheese /
was made just for her.
OR

*sharp

The wind blowing, birds
chirping, leaves rustling and waves/
lapping make me sleep.
