I’ve written several poems for you.
Contexting poetry;
at least one Haiku.
and now, if you watch, and see,
you’ll discover even more
poetry
from me.

Contrasting Wake-up Texts: A Romantic ConTEXTing Poem
Did you like the subtlety/
of my wake-up poetry?/
Or, being less demure,/
would you prefer,/
in your poetry,/
that I write,/
enthusiastically,/
more graphically?
Slow Canoe Haiku: Romantic ConTEXTing Poetry
Paddling slowly,/
One sees and feels more, but risks/
floating back downstream.
Slightly Overweight Guy Remembers: Romantic IMbic Poem
He wasn’t a relic,
nor like Tom Selick.
A little overweight,
but only slightly out of date.
He wasn’t the most beautiful
she’d ever seen.
But, if it mattered,
he remembered:
“Green”.
To a Teacher Not Reading My Poetry: A Revolutionary IMprov Poem
A pity/
that thou/
who espou/

so frequently,/
should not have steal
thfully tread well/
to the well;/
drank deep draughts/
of deep thoughts./
Not
for naught/
would your journey/
be,/
but, instead, you’d see/
me/
through my poetry.

Polar Bear is Not a Dip: Memories and Green Lake Polar Bear Poetry Plunge (includes Video)
It was, I think
New Year’s Day, 1971
When I stood on the brink
Of a frozen, sub-zero Lake Michigan.
I, then just a teen,
Dove in for the lark
Didn’t know what it’d mean
On the shores of Doctor’s Park.
Now, decades have past,
And I, a much older, wiser man
Have returned again, at last,
To take the plunge while I still can.
So why do I again come freezing
On a cold, sunny winter’s day
With nose running, lungs wheezing?
Because I have something to say!
It’s life’s lesson learned taking the plunge
Decades past, at 10 below
Run in, leap, dive, lunge!
Don’t take it slow! Go. Go! GO!
