With no direction/
towards perfection, I just/
stumble and bumble.

Holy Night: We Were There Haiku

We were asked if we/
would have come that Holy Night.
Answer: We were there!

So many of my/
best memories feature you./
I wish to make more.

When you write about/
feeling bad, you miss feeling/
all God’s joy and peace.

It’s easy to get/
insulted. You just decide/
that you want to be.

Women stand in my
past and now, witness to my
dumb interference.

I’ve offered thoughts,
unrequested. If it’s not
my business, why speak?

Do I wallow? Or
do I just keep getting taught
truths of how I’m dumb.

Once more, I’ve come up
with a good idea thought
foolish. I’m common.

When your life gets timed,
counted, and scheduled, it seems you/
lose time to create.
