Waiting In Vain: Romantic Free Verse ImproVerse Lament

At the appointed hour,
I waited,
as she had requested,
at her doorstep.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.

I’m just glad
I left
before he brought
her back home
and she
invited him
in.
